Anyway, life is good here. We had a fantastic sugaring season and made over 9 and a half gallons! The season went on a long time... We quit in early April, but some people went until Easter or even later! We've also been working on garden planning and seed starting, which is so exciting! What a fun time of year, so many possibilities for summer garden planning!
Acer is very happy and healthy! He's still not walking, but he's close now (really, this time it's true) He can stand alone for quite a while and take 4-5 steps. He loves it when we stand him up a couple feet from us so he can walk and crash into us! Most of the time though he gets around fast by crawling! He's starting to talk a little. He says hi and waves, bye, Dad, Jack, and gives high-fives! We look forward to more words in the coming months. He loves playing outside in the yard and garden. I wish we had a picture from this weekend... He was covered in dirt! It will be fun to play with him outside this summer. He also loves to clap! He only has 5 teeth so far, but they are on their way in (we had a rough couple of nights recently)... He's eating just about everything he can. His favorites right now are: potatoes, Cheerios, bananas, peanut butter, and venison. He is really good about eating what we eat, he likes most of the things he tries!
We have a few trips planned for this summer. Right now we are getting ready to spend time with some great friends in Tortola for Matt and Kelly's wedding! We can't wait. We're a little nervous about long airplane travel with a toddler, but we've gotten great advice about keeping Acer busy. Plus, he's a great baby! We'll post pictures when we return.
Not too much else to report. Northern Stewards is busy right now, which is fantastic. Otherwise, we are enjoying life here in Vermont. We miss you and hope to see you soon!
Daffodils are up! Haapy Spring!
